 I have some query regarding PVS versioning. If I have base image with 4 versions with 1,2,3 and 4. When I select all the 4 versions and do merge what will happen in the backend?? Citrix Cloud XenApp Published Google Chrome not allowing multi sessions.

We published a Google Chrome application from an HSD (Hosted Shared Desktop. i.e Windows 2016 server). i.e From the same server VM, we published HSD and Apps. 

If a user launches the published Google Chrome application it launches without an issue, 

But when it launches from the HSD it will not open. If the user ends the published Google Chrome session, it will open in the HSD.

We are using  FSLogix; it forces the user to launch published applications and virtual desktop to the same server.

Solution:

Google Chrome by “design” does not allow to work  “multi-session” (I mean, same user using the same chrome profile at the same time writing to the same profile.pb and files), it’s well documented on Google Chrome Enterprise Help website "Use Chrome Browser with Roaming User Profiles"

Running Chrome on multiple machines at a time If your users are familiar with running Chrome

Browser sessions simultaneously on multiple machines on your network, Roaming User Profiles

can cause behavior they might not expect. We recommend that users never run simultaneous

Chrome sessions when they use Roaming User Profiles.

Sessions don’t sync A user might want to run Chrome Browser simultaneously on multiple machines on your organization’s network. But if they use Roaming User Profiles, profile changes they

make in one Chrome session will not sync with other sessions. So we recommend never running simultaneous Chrome sessions when you use Roaming User Profiles.

For example, a user might run Chrome on machine A and machine B at the same time. When the user makes a profile change on machine A, the roaming profile gets updated. But Chrome does not automatically sync the change to the profile on machine B. So if the user makes a different change to their profile on machine B, the roaming profile gets updated with that change, and the first

change get overwritten. Your users might not expect that behavior. When running Chrome without Roaming User Profiles, users can make profile changes in one session and see them

synchronized with the other sessions. But while RoamingProfileSupportEnabled ¡s enabled, Chrome does not sync between running sessions. Folder redirection prevents simultaneous sessions

If your organization uses folder redirection for the folder containing profile.pb, then a user can’t start a Chrome session on more than one machine at a time. Roaming User Profiles depends on creating and locking a file profile.pb for each session. If you use folder redirection for %APPDATA%/Google/Chrome (or for the fnIriAr vni i cnnifiH in th while RoamingProfileSupportEnabled is enabled, Chrome does not sync between running sessions.

Hi All, I have installed the Adobe acrobat XI standard on the server 6.5, And I am getting Russian language. Though I have change it, Appwiz.cpl-uninstall/change windows. To English still when I opened the app i can see Russian language. Please help me to resolve this issue.

When open Adobe on server, same issue that you are getting? --yes

Check any MS language pack installed

When I check the registry I can multiple language there like en-US,jp-JP like that

Might be while downloading hope you download Russian pack.

We have installed the setup.exe which client gave

Only one server or all servers in worker group?

Compare registry of any other server from different worker group

Recent backups done?

Only one server

Run treesize on c drives of working and non-working servers see any difference in programs Microsoft

Aravind we have only one servers. And while installing we have given the serial Number as well

Take snapshot boot from that and play on it or restoring or MS case nearby chances

Env: XD7.15ltsr, PVS7.14 Static VDI with PVDisk

Findings: User logon taking much time , mostly when I observe in director interactive session is so high,

User PVDsk is utilised 75%

Upm is configured with WEM

Swapped vdsik to another VDI same logon duration taken

Can any help me out.. what I miss to fix this

No Security Server Model / Global entitlement model communication : Open Horizon Client-> Add the Connection server URL->After adding & Once Provide AD Cred-> Client pass the details to the LB URL of the Connection servers->The Connection Server which receives the request behind the LB will search the Cloud POD Architecture what are the resources provisioned to that user (Enumeration) & it shows in client console-> When user click on the resource he needed again connection server request the pool which have free available machines / apps to provide to the user on request. If user have home site configured the VDI will receive from home site, else it can be from anywhere from the CPD.

Feature Phase means they are adding features (with new bugs). The maintenance phase means bug fixes only.

We are facing an issue. Bulk of VDA's (nearly 15 to 25)are getting unregistered and re-registered with the DDC's. In DDC error logs we can see an error as "connection between the citrix broker service and the  database has been lost".
Xenapp version - 7.18
VDA - Linux 7.18.

Have anyone faced this issue..pls suggest.
No network issue between DDC and DB server

We had this kind of issue in 7.15 CU3 but been fixed by CU4 update. So I recommend u navigate in citrix for any fix or update for it. Also, look for Null entries in respective DB

No null entries in db..citrix support informed to upgrade the environment to 1909.

@Sai, please run command get-brokerdesktopgroup -name DG  for both working & nonworking DGs. compare the options you may get some clue. Shutdownafteruse is false unless you customize it.

Citrix management console displays there are 51 licenses used out of 85. But from Citrix director, I could only see 2 sessions connected and no disconnected sessions found in Studio. I logged into the Citrix license server, I run udadmin -list which shows no user id. Do you what does this mean

From License console, User/device licenses showing as 51 used out of 85. From studio and director showing Used as 2 licenses now. did I answer to your question?

Using command udadmin -f XDT_ENT_UD -device [devicename] -delete. Note: Here I am not sure about the which device or user is utilizing these licenses

Can u check the director  version and Ddc version

Compatible with the license server version

User/device licensing reports can be fetched separately through PowerShell I suppose...  Let me see if I can find the command

please let me know the solution for the below issue if anyone had faced.

issue: External User's ica session disconnects after 22 or 25 mins.

There is no issue for internal users.

"The session 34ghjjdy..... was disconnected".

upgraded vda version from 7.15 cu2 to cu3.

No ICA keep alive setting been configured in policy and session reliability also not enabled in storefront.

There is no Network disconnection

Citrix WEM 1912 supports resetting assigned actions for the users. Make sure to enable this feature under UI Agent Options.
